From our family to yours

​Spirit Bear Seafoods was created in 2025 by our family in Craig, Alaska. Our story began in the 1960’s with Haida Native, George Yates and his troller. His daughter, Julie, followed in his footsteps and became a fisherman, and her son Bear did the same. Today, Bear proudly runs the family business. It was Bear’s dream to honor his grandfather’s legacy and bring seafood to his community. Every fish we catch is handled with care and respect - just as our family has done for generations. We’re proud to bring you premium, ethically harvested seafood from our sacred waters to your table.
